🚘 1. Documents Required
To rent any bike or scooty, the rider must provide:
- Valid Driving License (original)
- Aadhaar Card or any government ID
- Mobile number for verification
We reserve the right to decline rentals if documents are incomplete.
👤 2. Rider Eligibility
- Rider must be 18 years or older.
- Rider must be physically and mentally fit to drive.
- Only the person who rented the vehicle is allowed to ride it.
- Sub-renting or giving the vehicle to someone else is strictly prohibited.
💵 3. Payment Terms
- Full rental amount must be paid at the time of pickup.
- A refundable security deposit is required with every booking.
- Rental charges are based on 24 hours from the time of pickup.
Late fee applies if the vehicle is returned late.
🛠 4. Vehicle Condition
Before giving the vehicle, we:
- Check engine, brakes, indicators, fuel, tires, and documents.
- Record the condition of the bike/scooty (with photos/video).
The customer must:
- Check the vehicle at pickup.
- Report any damage immediately.
Once the ride has started, the customer is responsible for the vehicle.
🚫 5. Damage & Penalties
The customer is responsible for:
- Damage to the vehicle
- Missing parts or accessories
- Tyre damage
- Helmet loss
- Accident or negligence
Charges for damage:
- Minor scratches — actual repair cost
- Major damage — repair cost + downtime charges
- Total loss — customer must pay full market value of the vehicle
If an accident occurs:
- Customer must inform us immediately
- FIR, police verification, and insurance rules may apply
🛣 6. Traffic Rules
The rider must follow all traffic rules:
- No triple riding
- No rash driving
- No drunk driving
- No overspeeding
- No off-road misuse unless approved
Any challan/fine must be paid by the customer.
🛵 7. Usage Limits
- Our bikes are allowed in Haldwani, Kathgodam, Nainital Region, and surrounding areas.
- Long-distance travel outside Uttarakhand requires prior approval.
- The vehicle must NOT be used for:
- Racing
- Stunts
- Illegal activities
- Commercial use (delivery, courier, etc.)
🔑 8. Pickup & Return
Pickup:
- Customer must check the bike and sign the agreement.
Return:
- Bike must be returned in the same condition.
- Full-day charges apply if returned late by more than 1 hour.
- Fuel level should be same as at pickup (or fuel charge applies).
⛽ 9. Fuel Policy
- Fuel is not included in rental pricing.
- Customer must refuel as needed.
🔄 10. Cancellation & Refund
Refund will follow our Return & Refund Policy:
- 100% refund — 24 hours before pickup
- 50% refund — 12–24 hours before pickup
- No refund — within 12 hours
Once the vehicle is picked up, no refund is applicable.
🔧 11. Breakdowns
If the bike stops due to mechanical fault:
- We will provide support/assistance
- Replacement vehicle may be provided (subject to availability)
Breakdown due to misuse is the customer’s responsibility.
📸 12. Photos & Video Recording
We may take photos/videos of:
- Vehicle condition
- Documents
- Customer (for security verification only)
This is done for safety and legal purposes.
🔒 13. Liability
The Rent and Ride is not responsible for:
- Personal injuries
- Lost items
- Fines or legal violations by the rider
- Damage caused by natural events (landslides, weather, etc.)
The customer rides at their own risk.

By renting a vehicle from The Rent and Ride, you acknowledge that:
- You have read these Terms & Conditions
- You agree to follow all rules
- You accept full responsibility for the vehicle during the rental period
